I like the idea of wind turbines , the only problem is that they can be seen for miles and they do have an effect on the look of the country side. Ive been looking at the ones that can be bought from the B&Q which attached direct to the house and supplies you direct. Anyone had one of theses fitted ? and what do you think of them ? Are they worth the money?

We definitely want a wind turbine when we get our smallholding. I think that the domestic turbines aren't so intrusive.

Don't forget to grab yourself a grant before the money runs out, if you do decide to get a turbine. For households the grant available is


Maximum of £1,000 per kW of installed capacity, subject to an overall maximum of £2,500 or 30% of the relevant eligible costs, whichever is the lower
