IT may be getting colder outside.
But as winter bites across Merseyside two lambs have been born on a Wirral farm, three months early.
The pair were born on Roy Smith’s Irby smallholding on New Year’s Day.
Mr Smith said: “This is the earliest I have ever had lambs born. We usually expect them in March and April but they are happy and healthy.”
The lambs aren’t the only traditional heralders of spring arriving during winter.
