Happy smallholding! This my piont of view having kept pigs and sheep. Pigs are easier to keep than sheep they reach meat weight quicker and do not spend most of their time trying to kill themselves. When I was starting out someone said to me sheep wake up in the morning thinking how can I kill myself today and belive me they were right. Pigs if housed and fenced right are a pleasure to keep they learn about electric fencing very quickly and stay within the boundry they are hardy and love you feeding them and rubbing their bellys if you take time to get to know them.(my theroy is while there with you make their life as happy as possible)
