countrybumpkin asked me to put up a Recipe Section, so I thought I would start things off in the Starters Section with this dead easy soup which I found on the net a few years ago - so thanks go to whoever it was! Here goes ...

BELLY-WARMER SOUP

Ingredients:
1/4 chicken
2 pints of water or vegetable stock
1 big chopped/sliced onion
1 big sliced leek
1/2 a cup of short-grain rice

Method:

  1. Place the chicken in the stock/water and boil for about an hour, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Remove the chicken and add the rice, onion and leek and boil for another 15 mins.
  3. You can chop the chicken and add it to the soup if desired.
  4. Enjoy!

Hi Anita - I do have some old recipes that I need to dig out, so will do this in the next day or so and add them to the Forums. I'm also looking for new recipes, so I hope you get more postings soon. Thanks for including this section up for me!
