hi ricyrich, busy time of the year for me, getting the ground ready, planting seeds, also the summershows will be coming up soon so busy making chutneys and pickles, as well as holding down my full time job, so its busy busy busy for me. Just had the new marquee delivered for the shows ,slowly getting rid of the pigs and going to turn their wooden outhouse into a greenhouse 50ftx 20ft, also busy clearing out an old brick building to turn into a food production area, oh and I got a new toy, a 36" wide rotorvator so Im putting that through its paces as well.
HI i AM STILL ABOUT bUSY WITH HATCHING TURKEYS FOR CHRISTMAS. First hatch was a complete right off with only 1 hatching so I got intouch with the turkey club and they told me to dry hatch! Never done that before with the chickens. I now have 6 out of 7 hatched but I did put some water in the inci now have 12 more eggs going with no water in the inci so fingers crossed they all hatch. The hen turkeys are getting very cross with me taking their eggs they are trying to hide them deeper and deeper into the straw I might let them keep the next lot or they may never speak to me again Also planting ,putting up new pens, fencing, building new coops and now the grass needs mowing!! All good fun though Byeee
