Please feel free to pop in and have a chat with us. Tell us about any projects you are currently working on in your smallholding. Perhaps you haven't got a smallholding yet, but want to chat to people that have. This is the place to do it.

I look forward to 'meeting' you all here.

Hi tasharidg

We're in the same boat as you - wannabe smallholders - we're going to view one 8/9 December so I'll have to let you know how we get on.

It's going to be a big learning curve, as we'd like to do the self-sufficiency bit as much as we can. Doing this web site has really helped though, as I'm always researching this, that and the other to put on the site.

Which part of the country will you be looking for a smallholding?

I'll catch you later - hubby wants to pinch the net off me.

Anita :D

Hi everyone just thought I'd say hello !

I don't have a smallholding yet, but would really like to be selfsuffcient, I keep hens and have 2 allotment plots.

So who has and whats the best advice you could or would give...

I live in the Leicester area if anyone is interested, great site BTW stumbled over it a few days ago, there is some very good links and advice.

Hi Richyrich

Welcome to the Villageways Forums - they haven't been going long, but hopefully in time they will become more popular.

So, what do you grow in your allotment plots?

I think the majority of us on here are wannabe smallholders. I know my daughters' can't see the attraction - but to me, a piece of the country is what it is all about.

Hopefully me and my husband will escape back to the country soon.

Please revisit the site again soon - all contributions are really appreciated.

Take care,
Anita aka Villageways
