Morning piggybreeder,

You're right, it's a bit quiet :( .... I think we need some fresh enthusiasm here or perhaps a little sunshine will help and give us all something to smile about :D. I'm struggling to keep myself motivated at the moment.

Yesterday there were lots of people mooching around - so it seems readers are out there... just not writers.

I was worried when I first saw the pic, it looks as though the boat is going to sail into my ear and out the other side:D

Hello I am still here

Lots to do as all of you have.  All this resent rain and wind has brought its problems. Hedge cutting before the birds start nesting has taken up all of our time, plus all the every day stuff of raising new stock and keeping the older ones fed watered and housed clean and dry. Not to mention looking after the house , holding down a job and looking after older members of the family who live in Ireland  So thats where I have been where are all the others.:?;):D:D:D

Hi Wendy, I agree with you. The worst thing is when you have done some repairs after the storms only to find out a couple of days later the new storms have destroyed all your repairs:( this was our shed roof, lucikl;y it just peeled off so we were able to flip it over and put new batterns on from underneath along with bracing bars on the inside from the roof down the walls,

Sorry to here about your roof piggy breeder. We had a whole coup blow up into the air with bantams inside!! Luck was on our side though it landed complete and the bantams were still sitting on the perches:D:dude:. We lost part of our stable felt from the roof which we just got repaired before the next lot of wind came. Could go on but I am sure you all have your stories to tell. Off to work now for a rest!!Byeee

The power of nature can be quite scary at times.

Saturday night I dreamt about a tornado heading for the house - I hope that one doesn't come true :?

The tornado didn't arrive, but the fence got blown down in the high winds yesterday :(

Weather seems to have calmed down overnight ... fingers crossed.

Its calmed down here too. We have been very lucky but we did go out and tie loads of coups down  after the bantams had gone for a short flight. Sorry to hear about your fence they can be dangerous when they are let loose. Lets hope thats the end of it.Byee

Glad your turkeys are doing well wendy. The weather has been gorgeous up untill today. Lots of sun shine just a bit too dry for the seedlings, so todays rain is neded. Lets hope it remembers to stop:D

Busy making chutneys for the up coming shows as well as trying to keep the weeds in check. Been cleaning out our spare brick building in order to start re-furbishment int kitchens.
