Hi everyone
Thought I would share this bit of information with you all. Just lately, apart from the usual doubleglazing salespeople telephoning (and plastic guttering seems the latest craze), I've also been receiving marketing telephone calls from automated computer systems ... grr ... and they're very, very annoying!
Anyway, I've found a web site that will ensure that you don't receive such calls again! Great!
Here's some info from their web site:
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is the central opt out register on which you can record your preference not to receive unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls to your home or mobile telephone numbers. It is a legal requirement that all organisations (including charities, voluntary organisations and political parties) do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS unless they have your consent to do so.
It's simple to register your telephone numbers and within a month you should no longer have to put up with these nuisance calls.

| My elderly mother has been plagued with phone calls lately. I'm on my way to the site now to register my mum's number and mine as well. Thanks!!

We have just bought a new phone that can put people on hold while playing the godfather tune, hopefully they will get the message
